failed find hd

Windows Vista installation program,opens a blank window when I have to chose the installation destination,it allows to choose the advanced options but they are grey and unselectable.I should probably load drivers for my HD but it seems strange to me because I already have installed th Windows Xp platform on the same HD!!! Please help me

It sounds like you need drivers for a SATA controller. Even though the XP drivers may work you will have to load them again during the Vista install procedure. Vista will not copy them from the existing XP install.
